About Dr. Awad
Renee Awad, ND
Dr. Awad received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, one of the country's five medical schools specializing in science based natural medicine and research. She completed her clinical training at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, an integrative medical clinic in Seattle that serves 30, 000 patients each year, as well as provided naturopathic care at the Consejo Counseling & Referral Service and at Covenant Shores, a retirement community. Dr. Awad also trained with several other naturopathic & medical doctors, specializing in pediatrics, women's healthcare, neurology and functional medicine. Prior to Bastyr, she graduated Cum Laude from Bucknell University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a pre-med concentration and theater (acting/directing) minor.
Dr. Awad is the Past President of the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PANP), and an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). Dr Awad maintains a current license in Vermont as a Naturopathic Physician. Unfortunately, Pennsylvania does not license ND's at this time. However, the PANP is working toward regulation of the Naturopathic profession to protect Pennsylvania consumers. For more information about how you can support licensure of Naturopathic Physicians in PA, visit www.panp.org.
Statement of Purpose:
Health is not limited or defined by our own well-being. Instead, our health is irrevocably and undeniably connected to the health of the world around us, whether that be our family or local community, or the greater global community. Because of this, I am committed to the creation of a world in which humanity may thrive.
