About Dr. Awad
![]() Renee Awad, ND Dr. Awad received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, one of the country's five medical schools specializing in science based natural medicine and research. She completed her clinical training at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health, an integrative medical clinic in Seattle that serves 30, 000 patients each year, as well as provided naturopathic care at the Consejo Counseling & Referral Service and at Covenant Shores, a retirement community. Dr. Awad also trained with several other naturopathic & medical doctors, specializing in pediatrics, women's healthcare, neurology and functional medicine. Prior to Bastyr, she graduated Cum Laude from Bucknell University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a pre-med concentration and theater (acting/directing) minor. Dr. Awad is the Past President of the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians (PANP), and an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). Dr Awad maintains a current license in Vermont as a Naturopathic Physician. Unfortunately, Pennsylvania does not license ND's at this time. However, the PANP is working toward regulation of the Naturopathic profession to protect Pennsylvania consumers.
